Tour Uros and Taquile islands

On this tour Uros and Taquile islands, after picking up visitors from their hotels, we will have a comfortable boat to the Uros Floating Islands where we will visit 2 islands, and then continuing the tour we head towards the natural island of Taquile (2 ½ hours of navigation), Therefore we arrive at about noon, We will make a small hike to the top of island (30 minutes),where we can appreciate the immensity of the lake and all its splendor, we will have lunch and know more about their textiles, inhabitants and customs.

Most importantly is that, They were declared by UNESCO as INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF HUMANITY. Spinning and weaving are mainly made by men, who begin to realice this art from the age of eight. Through these fabrics the inhabitants show their civil status depending on the colors, sizes and mode of use. In men, the soleer wears a red and while chullo, while the married ones wear a red chullo. On the other hand single women use a chullo with a pompom larger and colored tan the married.
